Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager Chocolate Trifle

Ingredients

Chocolate Cake (2 nine inch layers – get the from scratch recipe at www.henriettibles.com or if using a boxed cake, replace 1/3
cup of water with Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager)
2 Tbs Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager

Directions

Drizzle 1 Tbs of Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager on each layer. Allow to cool completely.

Combine with Pudding Layer and Chocolate Ganache

4 cups sliced fresh Strawberries

Cut chocolate cake into bite size squares. In trifle bowl, layer 1/3 of pudding mix, then ¼ of chocolate ganache, then ¼ of strawberries, then 1/3 of cake squares. Repeat two more times. Finish with a layer of ganache, and garnish with remaining strawberries.

Ingredients

8 oz bittersweet chocolate bar (don’t use chips), coarsely chopped
¼ cup heavy cream
I Tbs butter
1 ½ tsp Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager

Directions

Combine chocolate, cream and butter in heavy saucepan. Stir over low heat until mixture is smooth. Stir in Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. Allow to cool slightly (but not so cool that it will not pour).

Ingredients

1 4.6 oz package COOK vanilla pudding
1 ½ cups milk
1/3 cup Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager
8 oz frozen whipped topping, defrosted

Directions

Prepare pudding as directed, using 1 ½ cups milk (not the full 3 cups). Cover pudding with plastic wrap that’s directly on the pudding to prevent a film from forming. Allow to cool completely. Stir in the Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. Fold in whipped topping. Chill.
